Sumedh Sathaye is a Distinguished Engineer in the Dell EMC Service Provider Solutions engineering organization. Sumedh leads a team of talented engineers and partners who develop data analytics, NFV, and cloud solutions for the service provider market vertical. Previously, Sumedh co-founded a cloud data security startup in Austin, which achieved revenue-positive status within 18 months. He also helped develop innovative switch fabric software for the first ARM server company, Calxeda. After obtaining a Ph.D. from NC State University, Sumedh started his professional career at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY, where he contributed to RISC, mainframe, embedded, and game processor architectures, as well as to innovative edge computing projects. Sumedh is an inventor or co-inventor on more than 40 US patents.
