Dell at Gartner Data Center 2014: Helping you to transform your business

Gartner DC

Approximately 2,000 attendees will be descending on the Venetian in Las Vegas this week for the Gartner Data Center Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference. We at Dell are excited to be a premier sponsor and have put together a number of offerings for the show, all aimed at helping you transform your business. These include in person meetings, in-depth educational sessions, demos, as well as several experts available in the booth.

First, up there’s two key sessions you won’t want to miss, both headed by one of our most engaging enterprise solution speakers, Tom Burns, VP & GM at Dell Networking:

Converged Infrastructure Revolutionized:  the Flexible and Modular Dell Converged Infrastructure Portfolio, Tuesday, December 2, 4:15pm in Venetian F

Converged Infrastructure solutions, and the way IT organizations deploy them, should be as unique as the organizations themselves.  However, most of the industry sees all IT organizations in the same way, force-fitting them into rigid, and largely incomplete solutions.  In this session you will learn about Dell’s Converged Infrastructure portfolio, one of the only truly end-to-end converged platforms in the industry today.  Come learn how Dell has innovated converged solutions to optimize on your terms, from remote-office to the data center with traditional and revolutionary new architectures.

Accelerating Open Networking Momentum, Thursday, December 4, 3:00pm in Venetian F

Thirty years ago, Michael Dell changed the PC industry by making technology affordable and available to users worldwide.  Dell is looking to repeat this through our Open Networking initiative.  Networking technology is stuck in the “mainframe era” with vertically integrated systems, based on proprietary architectures.   Dell’s vision is a software-defined networking model with an open ecosystem where customers can make a free choice of best-of-breed hardware and industry standard software to meet their business needs.

In addition to these two exciting topics, we’ll have a number of Dell solutions on display.  You can learn about Dell software-defined networking (SDN) and leveraging open-source standards-based tools and expertise at our Dell Networking booth.  In the Dell Cloud solutions area, we’ll cover choice and flexibility in the cloud environment.  We’re also thrilled to have experts on hand to discuss Hyperconverged Database, Analytics and Virtualization and Lifecycle Management in our Dell Engineered Solutions booth.  Make sure to stop by booth 317 to see our Storage & Server virtual rack demos and get a look at our recently announced FX series!

If you are at #gartnerDC this year we’d love to meet with you. Please stop by booth 317 to join in the conversations and you won’t want to miss either of Tom Burns’s sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. We’ll see you there!
