Dell at ISC 2016: Enabling Tomorrow’s Innovations Today

June has been a busy month for Dell High Performance Computing (HPC). We’ve had the opportunity to celebrate new HPC system launches with customers and longtime collaborators Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) and the Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC), and now we’re gearing up for a huge presence next week at International Supercomputing Conference (ISC).

Dell is a gold sponsor at ISC this year, and we have a number of activities and announcements planned. If you’re attending, be sure to catch up with us onsite. Here’s where you can find us.

  • Intel Community Hub: Expanding HPC’s Universe

Ed Turkel, HPC Strategist, Dell | Tuesday, June 21st, 3:20-3:45 p.m. | Intel Booth

As the demand for high performance grows and its role in innovation and competitiveness in research, product development and business becomes more apparent, Dell’s goal of “democratizing HPC” requires a collaboration of HPC technology leaders.  Dell and Intel are collaborating to deliver Dell HPC Systems enabled by the Intel Scalable Systems Framework, to make HPC more available and more scalable.

  • Dell HPC Systems, Advancing & Democratizing HPC Solutions

Ed Turkel, HPC Strategist, Dell | Wednesday, June 22nd, 1:20-1:40 p.m. | Booth #500

The demand for high performance computing in science, engineering and analytics continues to grow, as it enables innovation and competitiveness in research, product development and business. But as the demand increases, the complexity of deploying HPC solutions is also increasing, as HPC converges with Big Data and Cloud, and the technology choices for developing HPC solutions multiply. Dell is building on its long history of democratizing the PC and server businesses, to do the same for HPC by developing Dell HPC Systems, flexible reference architectures that can be used to configure customer specific HPC solutions in various disciplines, quickly and easily, such that HPC customers can focus on their science, engineering and analytics workloads. Utilizing the most advanced technologies from Dell and it’s technology partners, Dell HPC Systems will enable more customers to gain the benefits of high performance computing.
