Feel the love from Dell

For many people, February is an excuse to shower loved ones with hearts and candy on Valentine’s Day. At Dell, we felt the love all month long in the form of new product announcements, visiting with customers and partners at global events, and making some big plays in the industry.

Become engaged with the DSS 9000

Dell’s Datacenter Scalable Solutions team (part of the Extreme Scale Infrastructure group) shared the love by announcing the new DSS 9000. This powerful, flexible, modular rack-level infrastructure will offer compute and storage sleds, built-in networking, shared power & cooling, as well as next-generation management via Intel Rack Scale Architecture (RSA) and Redfish.

And for those who missed it, here’s Stephen Rousset of Extreme Scale Infrastructure explaining what that group does at the most recent Tech Field Day:

We left our hearts at the Mobile World Conference

At the 2016 Mobile World Congress (#MWC16) in Barcelona, Dell team members had a great time showing off the latest innovations from across our OEM Solutions, IoT, NFV and Client Solutions. If you stopped by our booth, you saw our newly launched Edge Gateway 5000 series for IoT and our new laptop models within the Latitude 7000 series and Dell Venue tablets. We also displayed our Open NFVI ecosystem and carrier grade hardware, which ensures maximum interoperability manageability and investment protection.

Fall in love with our Fluid File System

After the recent launch of our Dell Fluid File System v5 (FluidFS), we searched for interesting use cases that could best depict the benefits of FluidFS and found that the Dell Fluid File Video Solution topped the rest. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport deployed the Dell Fluid File Video Solution as part of a video surveillance consolidation project.  The solution helped them simplify and streamline the administration of their environment and better meet the demands of tremendous data growth.

Virtual hearts for you

We have a handful of announcements, projects and events coming up in the next few weeks, and hope to get your thoughts on the moves we are making in the tech industry. Sadly, I can’t send chocolate to every reader, but I hope you’ll continue to watch this space and follow us on the Twitter accounts in the blog’s sidebar to stay up with all the news.
