See You in September – the Hybrid Cloud & Ready Solution Team Is Hitting the Road!

September marks the beginning of so many things. For Dell EMC, it marks one year since we came together to do more for our customers. For the Hybrid Cloud and Ready Solutions team, September also marks a month of traveling to speak with customers and partners, as well as announcing new innovations at conferences held by some of our strategic alliance partners.

Doing More with Data

As I travel the world speaking to customers, one of the challenges I hear on a regular basis is around data. Organizations of all sizes need to understand the ever-increasing amount of data they’re collecting, what it is worth to the organization, and how they can securely use this data to drive business insights in revenues. A great example of this is the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) that looked to Dell EMC so they could analyze the massive amounts of data driven through their high-performance supercomputer. To address problems plaguing TACC and a wide variety of other organizations, we partner with select industry leaders, including Cloudera, Hortonworks, and Splunk.

To that end, next week we will participate in conferences held by both Cloudera and Splunk, where we will highlight some of our Ready Solutions aimed at enabling customers to achieve more value from their data securely and in real time. At Splunk .conf, we’ll showcase our newest Ready Solution – the new Dell EMC Ready System for Splunk. This unique solution enables organizations of all sizes to do more with their machine data in real-time. At the same time, we’ll have a team in New York at the Strata Data Conference and Cloudera Americas Partnership Summit, where we’ll showcase the latest updates to our Ready Solutions for Cloudera and Hadoop.

It’s a Converged World After All

Admit it – when you read that subhead, the theme to a popular Disney World ride went through your mind. Well, we have Orlando on the brain, too, as we’ll be at the Microsoft Ignite Conference, talking to customers, partners, media and analysts about our continued work with Microsoft.

Let’s face it – in most conversations about technology, the names “Microsoft” and “Dell EMC” will come up, and with good reason. We recognize the power and capabilities offered by Microsoft that continue to help organizations worldwide solve all manner of IT challenges. We’re proud to continue to work with them and continue to apply Dell EMC innovation to enabling our customers to do more with their Microsoft environments. For those of you attending Ignite, we will have some exciting news to share, so be sure to stop by our booth and keep your eye on this blog to learn more.

What Happens In Vegas Happens at SAP TechEd

The conference action isn’t isolated to the East Coast – the team will be out in full force in Las Vegas at SAP TechEd. SAP continues to be one of our strategic alliance partners, and we’re committed to innovation that will help our customers do more with their SAP platforms. A case in point – as I’ve mentioned before, Dell EMC helps organizations contribute to critical achievements in human progress, like solving the genomic data puzzle. Working with SAP, we are able to bring together the combined capabilities of SAP Health, a Dell EMC Isilon data lake, the Cloudera distribution of Apache™ Hadoop® and SAP Vora into SAP Hana powered by our Dell EMC Ready Solutions. Together, these technologies aid researchers and physicians looking to understand genomic data alignment and develop personalized, patient-centered treatments and innovations, including drugs, therapies, devices and diagnostic tests.

In Las Vegas, we’re looking forward to showcasing the great work we’re doing with SAP, specifically around the topic of “Powering the IoT Generation with SAP.” We will have speakers addressing this topic, as well as our Ready Solutions for SAP Hana demonstrated onsite, and look forward to meeting with a variety of customers and partners to learn more about their work with Dell EMC and SAP.

As you see, we have a very busy month ahead of us, but it’s with purpose. We are excited to showcase the work we continue to do with recognized industry leaders to help our customers meet all manner of IT challenges, cope with new technological advances in areas like Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, and bring greater value to their businesses through IT innovations.

The Hybrid Cloud & Ready Solutions team is excited to hit the road! We hope to see you at one of the many events we’re at and speak with you about our exciting new innovations and achievements.
