Meet Patty Scire – Senior Director, NA Strategy and Programs

What recent accomplishments are you most proud of?

Last year I took a new role in leading the combined Channel Strategy and Channel Programs organization in North America. We restructured the combined organizations under my leadership to more effectively design and implement strategic channel initiatives internally and through our Partners.

What are your goals for your company’s channel business over the next year?

Our goal for this year is very straight forward, to focus on the deployment, communication and execution of our strategy, programs and initiatives that deliver on our partner program’s core pillars of Simple. Predictable. Profitable.TM I will be focused on ensuring that both Partners as well as the internal NA channel sales organization fully understand and comprehend our program strategy and all it has to offer, thus ensuring our strategic sales initiatives are propelled forward.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why?

A woman who I deeply admire is Shawn Trotter, Dell’s VP of Inside Channel Sales Her leadership, ability to foster and inspire collaboration and overall approach to engaging and listening is admirable. Shawn is always there for anyone who needs her.  She exemplifies successful professional and personal balance, and never loses sight of what’s important in her life.  The bond she has with her family as well as those in her organization is like no other, I learn from her daily.

What advice would you give to other women in the industry? Or men?

Be your authentic self! Don’t try to be someone that you think others want you to be. I so often see people trying to live up to a certain image; but rather if you are true to who you are, you will be much better off.  Trust me on this one!

Please share some words to live by that have helped you throughout your career.

My mantra is and has always been work hard and be kind.  These are my simple basic words that I say time and time again   – and it relates to everything, personal and professional.  I can’t think of a single instance where skating through life and being rude has ever served anyone well!

What do you do for fun outside of Dell Technologies?

Outside of work, I love spending time with my 3 sons doing absolutely anything at all!  I also very much enjoy spending time with girlfriends, traveling and cooking.  No matter what the season, I try to incorporate outdoor activities into every weekend–hiking, walking, kayaking, and long days at the beach or the lake. Ideally any of these with my sons and I’m in my happy place.
